You know you have an amazing couple when they are so forgiving of their photographer (that would be me!) is over 30 minutes late for their engagement session in Ann Arbor cause she's ridiculously lost! It's a fact that I'm directionally impaired and not even a GPS seems to help me find my way...

But despite a rocky start to our session, it was a delight to spend time with Michelle and Michael! They just fit together...

I had the delightful pleasure of capturing some images for Sandi, who is an amazing woman and writer. A few years ago she lost her love to cancer and is now putting words to her story of loss and healing. I found a kindred spirit in her as we shared some of the raw and honest experiences of being a "widow" (a word we both agree is just awful!)

She lives in her grief with grace and beauty and I know she will bless others with her book "In His Hands".
